Embroidery or DTF print: which one should you pick?

We do both in our studio, so here is the honest short version.

Pick embroidery when

  • You want a raised, textured, premium look.
  • The design has few colours and clean shapes, like a logo or a name.
  • It goes on a hoodie, crewneck, jacket or cap.

Pick DTF print when

  • The design is a photo, has gradients or many colours.
  • It is big, like a full back print.
  • You want a light, flat feel on a tee.

Price

Embroidery is $15 to $35 by size. DTF is $15 (4 in), $20 (8 in), $25 (10 in) or $30 (12 in). Both go on any garment in our catalog.
